When you attend an Insight Trip hosted by Friendship Bridge, you’ll spend one week traveling to the beautiful Highlands of Guatemala surrounding Lake Atitlán. Led by Friendship Bridge staff, these experiences offer you an opportunity to:

How much does it cost?

General Insight Trips

General Insight Trips cost for a standard week-long trip covers lodging, dining, guides, translation and in-country transportation. Airfare is not included.

$2,250 for double occupancy room OR $2,400 for single occupancy room
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to secure your trip
A second deposit of $1000 (OR $1075) is due 60 days prior to the trip
The remaining balance of $1000 (OR $1075) is due 30 days prior to the trip

Friendship Circle Trips

Friendship Circle Members are eligible for discounted Insight Trips. Cost for Circle members for a standard week-long trip, which covers lodging, dining, guides, translation and in-country transportation. Airfare is not included.

$1,400 for double occupancy room OR $1500 for single occupancy room
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to secure your trip
A second deposit of $575 (OR $625) is due 60 days prior to the trip
The remaining balance of $575 (OR $625) is due 30 days prior to the trip

Insight Day Visits

Insight Day Visits are condensed, powerful half or full-day experiences offering a firsthand look at Friendship Bridge’s transformative impact, tailored to match your interests and availability. Whether you are new to our mission or are already familiar with our work, you will have the opportunity to see firsthand how our initiatives in microfinance, education, and health services are making a real difference in the lives of the women we serve in Guatemala.

Cost of airfare, accommodations, and insurance not included. Friendship Bridge requires a minimum of 4 weeks for planning prior to the visit date.

• $175 per person for half-day, morning or afternoon
• $320 per person for full-day

Parent/Teen Insight Trips

Parent/Teen Insight Trips cost for a week-long standard trip which covers lodging, dining, guides, translation and in-country transportation costs. Airfare is not included.

• $2,250 for double or triple occupancy room
• A $250 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to secure your trip
• A second deposit of $1000 is due 60 days prior to the trip
• The remaining balance of $1000 is due 30 days prior to the trip
