We are excited to share Friendship Bridge’s 2024 Annual Report with you! Thanks to your continued generosity and collaboration, we shared another transformative year, serving more than 36,000+ women across Guatemala. Read more below.

Here are some of the lives we have impacted, and the 2024 milestones we reached:

  • Expanding our Outreach—We proudly celebrated the opening of our 13th branch office in Ixcán, one of Guatemala’s most remote areas. This new branch opening affirms our commitment to reaching the most rural women with high-impact services. Read more in What We Do »
  • From Trust Bank to Trailblazer—Marieta is a client who steadily grew her laundry business to support her family. In 2024, she took a bold step: she transitioned from a group loan to an individual loan. Nearly 1,500 clients like Marieta participated in Advanced Business Training programs—a 36% increase from 2023. Read more in Our Programs »
  • Paving the Way to a Better Life—Cristobalina’s journey exemplifies our continued innovation with the Poverty Stoplight tool, a methodology designed to help clients holistically assess their wellbeing and identify steps for improvement. Clients like Cristobalina who completed the Poverty Stoplight in both 2023 and 2024 showed a 6% decrease in poverty incidence. Read more in Social Performance »
  • The Ardis Era—During staff member Ardis Strieby’s years of involvement with Friendship Bridge, more than $3 million was raised by Friendship Circles, and 100,000 women were reached by our services.
